Borders, the Michigan-based bookstore chain that K mart recently
acquired, reportedly signed a lease on a 40,000- square-foot
space in White Flint Mall, across from its existing 12,000-foot-
store. Borders and White Flint officials did not return calls
about the move, but sources said it was part of a strategy by the
chain of opening bigger stores.<Continental Airlines proposed
paying unsecured creditors from 4.8 cents to 36.1 cents on the
dollar and repaying most secured debt holders in full and giving
discount travel vouchers to those with smaller claims. <CACI, an
Arlington-based technology services firm, could be required to
pay Prudential Insurance, a former landlord, from $1.5 million to
$10 million as a result of a decision earlier this month by a
federal court in Alexandria. The ruling stemmed from a dispute
that arose when CACI vacated offices in Fairfax before its lease
expired. The firm and its landlord disagreed on how much CACI
owed for leaving early under the lease contract. <Chrysler Finan-
cial agreed to sell to NationsBank most of the consumer and in-
ventory financing businesses and assets of its Chrysler First
