Brown, 27, lost control of his Corvette along a rain-slicked, two-lane road, according to Brooksville police. Police chief Ed Tinscher said a 12-year-old relative also was killed in the single-car accident. EWING DISLOCATES THUMB: The U.S. men's Olympic basketball team got a shot of bad luck Thursday when Patrick Ewing dislocated his right thumb. Ewing, who was likely the team's starting center, injured his thumb in practice Thursday and will miss the first three games of this weekend's Basketball Tournament of the Americas.
