USA, BRAZIL MAKE OLYMPICS:
   The U.S. men's basketball team, with only nine healthy bodies 
left, rolled over Argentina 128-87 Wednesday to clinch a spot in 
the summer Olympics. Michael Jordan led USA with 24 points. The 
USA and Brazil, which also clinched an Olympic berth, finished 
pool play with 4-0 records and earned spots in Friday's semifinals 
of the Tournament of the Americas. The Olympic draw is Sunday.
    
STICH, EDBERG FALL AT WIMBLEDON:
   The rain fell and so did former champions in the men's 
quarterfinals at Wimbledon Wednesday. No. 5 Pete Sampras upset 
defending champion Michael Stich and Goran Ivanisevic stunned 
two-time champion Stefan Edberg. John McEnroe led Guy Forget 6-2, 
5-5 and No. 12 Andre Agassi led No. 4 Boris Becker 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 
3-4 when play, to be continued Thursday, was halted because of 
rain. 
    
SELES MEETS NAVRATILOVA:
   In women's semifinal action at Wimbledon, top seed Monica Seles 
faces nine-time champion and No. 4 seed Martina Navratilova 
Thursday. Defending champion Steffi Graf faces No. 3 Gabriela 
Sabatini, who finished off Jennifer Capriati 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 
Wednesday in the quarterfinal match suspended because of darkness 
Tuesday.
    
AINGE TO SIGN WITH SUNS:
   Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Danny Ainge, an 
unrestricted free agent, says he will fly to Phoenix Friday to 
sign a contract with the NBA's Suns. A report said the contract 
will pay Ainge $5.2 million over three years.The Blazers had 
offered a two-year contract.
