Capriati is seeded No. 6 going into Monday's start of the U.S. Open. Petr Korda won the Hamlet Cup at Commack, N.Y., beating Ivan Lendl 6-2, 6-2 Sunday. ANDRETTI CUTS RAHAL'S LEAD: Michael Andretti, the victim of bad luck early in the season, received a huge dose of good luck Sunday when PPG Cup points leader Bobby Rahal crashed early in the Molson Indy Vancouver. When Andretti went on to win the race, a 33-point deficit had become 12 with three races still to go. Rahal has 162 points to Andretti's 150. Al Unser Jr., second Sunday, is also in the hunt with 149. NEWBURY PARK WINS LEGION TITLE: Adam West and Jeff Naster pitched five-hit shutouts Sunday as Newbury Park (Calif.) won the American Legion World Series at Fargo, N.D.
