While Andretti won the race - his last in IndyCar before hitting the Formula One circuit in 1993 - Rahal parlayed a third-place finish at Laguna Seca Raceway into his third PPG Cup title, beating Andretti by four points (196-192). Andretti started at the pole and led all 84 laps. MIAMI STAYS ON TOP: The Miami Hurricanes held on to the top spot of the USA TODAY:CNN college football poll after a 45-10 win over Texas Christian.
