BULLS REPEAT AS CHAMPIONS:
   The Chicago Bulls came from behind Sunday to beat the Portland 
Trail Blazers 97-93 and win their second straight NBA 
championship. The Bulls won the Finals 4-2. Chicago trailed by as 
many as 17 points in the third quarter and began the fourth 
quarter down 79-64. They started the quarter by scoring 14 of the 
first 16 points and held the Blazers to 14 points in the final 
period.
    
JORDAN NAMED MVP:
   Michael Jordan was named Most Valuable Player as the Chicago 
Bulls beat the Portland Trail Blazers 97-93 Sunday to win the NBA 
championship. Jordan scored 12 of his 33 points in the last 6:01. 
Jordan, who averaged 35.8 points in the Finals, is the second 
player to be voted MVP of both the regular season and Finals. He 
is the first to win both awards in consecutive years.
    
STOCKTON RALLIES PAST SNEAD:
   Dave Stockton birdied the last three holes to pass J.C. Snead 
and win the Mazda Senior Players Championship Sunday in Dearborn, 
Mich. He finished a stroke ahead of Snead and Lee Trevino. Also, 
Jay Haas won the Federal Express St. Jude Classic in Memphis, 
Tenn., and Anne-Marie Palli had a birdie on the first playoff hole 
to win the ShopRite Classic in Somers Point, N.J.
    
STICH, FERREIRA WIN:
   Defending Wimbledon champion Michael Stich is on track heading 
into this year's tournament after winning the Continental Grass 
Court Championship in Rosmalen, Netherlands. Stich beat Jonathan 
Stark, 6-4, 7-5 Sunday to win the tournament and pass the $2 
million mark in earnings. Also, Wayne Ferreira beat Shuzo Matsuoka 
6-3, 6-4 to win the Stella Artis Championships in London
