Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2008-07-28


The meeting was called to order at 19:31:24 by jesstess.

        asedeno: Where are they?

        jhawk: Could the EC report on motions it's considered in the
		past week?

        jesstess: no.

SIPB Projects Report:

        jesstess: I updated our HTGAMIT section, and added some of our
		new services.

        geofft: I move to allocate up to $200 to buy harddrives for
		scripts. We lost a drive a couple days ago. I'd like
		to get two so we have a spare on hand.
        asedeno: I second.

Office Report:

        jhawk: The lights are off.

        jhawk: the high pitched whining of about 3kHz from the
		airhandler has returned
        [jhawk and belmonte discuss frequencies and pitch]

        jesstess: we have no coke in the cokecomm fridge.

Other:

        jesstess: Omri (ocschwar) got married.
        jhawk: Omri and Emily.

        lockhart: We should tell people when meetings are.

        asedeno: I don't like taking minutes.

        jhawk: Where is everyone?

        asedeno: For MIT computing, neskaya.mit.edu's clock was off
		for a while leading to some zephyr authentication
		troubles.

        jhawk: Also, the DNS servers were upgraded to a less
		compromisable version of bind.

Other Other:

        asedeno: Tetazoo has a new soda machine. Sodalord is back.
