Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2012-10-08


The meeting was called to order by bbarren at 19:30.

Administrivia
=============

	codetaku: Motion to allocate 61.70 to reimburse
	    omalley1 for a hackathon. There was a hackathon
	    last week for dormbase.

	bbarren: Was this cleared with the vice chair? [Yes]
	quentin: Was it announced?
	codetaku: There was a meeting announced on the day of.

	bbarren: The chair will allow the motion to proceed.
	    But the chair cautions that you should not do it again.

Project Updates
===============

	codetaku: There was a dormbase hackathon on Friday.
	    [laughter] A lot of prospectives got introduced
	    to the code and can theoretically wotk on it on
	    their own. Ten to fitteen people showed up.

	dove: I am coordinating IAP this year. If you're
	    interested in teaching something, email me.

Other
=====

	belzner: There are tours and computer stories with
	    jis at 7pm of W91 and W92 on Wednesday at 7pm,
	    starting in Lobby 7. There is also a talk by John
	    Britton from GitHub on Wednesday.
