[ here goes a lengthy discussion about the date of reunion started by jhawk, which does not come to any particular conclusion ] quentin: Can you tell us what was those $1250 are for specifically? dzaefn: The number is based on the previous reunion numbers; $900 are for food, remaining is for decorations and other miscellania. quentin: Second and white ballot. dvorak42: I'm against white ballot, we need to vote. [ 11-0-2, motion passes ] [ the acting secretary notes that the vote tally was counted and recorded despite his objection that given the lack of objections, the actual numbers are moot ] bbaren: I move to allocate $100 for two SanDisk SD cards, since the two ones we have for RPis are missing. vasilvv: I believe those can be considered to be an office supply. Project Updates =============== glasgall: Scripts Team is proud to announce that we are now running Fedora 20, and is no longer running an unsupported OS. achernya: We are also proud to announce that we managed to provide our own security support during that time, and we don't want to have to do that ever again. achernya: We also are proud to announce the first working logview in 10 years. glasgall: Also, Scripts is now powered by IS&T cloud hardware. glasgall: As I already mentioned during the previous meeting, if you are running a Django app on Scripts, it *is* broken; you need to fix it. sinback: On Oct 18, there's going to be a SIPB-oriented "Science on Saturdays" event in Kresge, for grade school kids; it will involve 60 minutes of general discussion of how basic things like logic gates work, followed by 30-minute special discussion groups. If you are interested in participating, add yourself to sipb-k12@mit.edu mailing list. There will be a lot of kids, so you should be comfortable with public speaking. jhawk: Mail from Tod Rider on Wed indicated that we need to make a demo a week prior, so I wanted to make sure that we are up-to-date with that.
