Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2017-04-17


The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by mcyoung.

In attendance were

Administrivia:

        parkah: Do allocations for a project go during administrivia?
        
        mcyoung: Yes
        
        parkah: There's a Hyades hackathon tomorrow that starts at 11 am, so if you want to go to this, just say you're going so we can get food.
        
        achernya: There's a standing allocation for hackathons.
        
        andersk: There's a 48-hour requirement for that though.
        
        parkah: So, allocation for food for this hackathon. I'm not sure exactly how many people are coming...I think 4-6 people.
        
        cela: How much money?
        
        parkah: $80?
        
        mcyoung: Yeah, I'd like to say $80-ish. Seconded.
        
        bpchen: White balloted
        
        mcyoung: Allocation passes. I'd like to make an allocation of $150 on ignacioe's behalf for a new microwave.
        
        dzaefn: Seconded

        huangjd: We have a microwave?
        
        achernya: We have a thing that looks like a microwave.
        
        mcyoung: Allocation passes

Project Reports:

        foner: We have a Cluedump coming up in two days and on May 3. Anyone who wants to do one talk to me
        
        parkah: Meeting-hackathon tomorrow for Hyades, we'll talk about how we want to work on it, you'll learn more about the project there. It's at 11 am

Other:

        cela: Microsoft documents a few years old got dumped, it'd have been really bad for people with Windows computers if they hadn't been updated last month. Update your boxes if they run windows.
        
        dzaefn: Some of they names they had for their tools are as usual amazing.
        
        cela: One was called Eternal Blue.

        huangjd: Can someone go over how CokeComm works?

dukhovni: I've looked, nothing that does what I want it to do.

mcyoung: There's some kind of due-tomorrow do-tomorrow joke in here

lujan: There were a lot of people running today

dukhovni: There are 6 people running this week (for UA elections)
