        cela: Hyades: Deploying cluster on friday only took an hour and half. 6~7 issues/commits.

        achernya: Earlier today the concept of RCC was deleted. rcc-retired@ was deleted and rcc-internal@ has no current students any more.

        mcyoung: I'd say "end of an era" but it seems old.

        achernya: I want my bits back, dammit.

        dzaefn: A few days ago, the PM of Australia described the government's work against encryption thus: The laws of Australia prevail... The laws of mathematics are very commendable but the only law that applies in Australia are the laws of Australia.

        aleksejs: I ended up on python-dev mailing list and learned that the class NamedTuple generates the source with strings and generates the class with eval.

        mcyoung: I can't tell if that's better or worse than Scala not supporting tuples of more than size 22.

        achernya: If you want more than 22-tuples, please see a stop-hurting yourself doctor or get a better database schema.

        mcyoung: Are you telling me HMMT is doing it wrong?

        mcyoung: It's halfway through summer. The beginning of semester is closer than you think.

        mcyoung: yczeng sent the midsummer email to prefrosh we met at the midway. It included instructions for getting on zephyr.

        aleksejs: The IMO started yesterday.

        mcyoung: The internet sucks.

        achernya: Especially when defensor quarantines google.com. It's MIT's system that tells Moira some parts of the network are sketchy and gets them to firewall it. It's very twitchy: I've been quarantined for nmapping mirrors in response to an IS&T complaint.

        andersk: I just booted into Windows and Windows tells me it can't verify the server location of %1.
