Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 2019-04-29

The meeting was called to order at 19:30 by emmabat.

Administrivia:

        emmabat: There will be an EC meeting tomorrow in the SIPB Office at 8. We will be discussing the meeting we will be having with IS&T later in the week. We are going to also talk about ISTAB's replacement ISTAC.
        
        vasilvv: There was a mailing list called istab-students@
        
        emmabat: We will also try to figure out how to get more permissions and responsibilities for dorm execs. We are working on trying to see if we can also reboot the RCC program.
        
        mcyoung: So an rcc was a medlink but instead of distributing drugs, they distributed ethernet.
        
        vasilvv: Lizhou was an rcc, also one of the benefits of the rcc program was the they had training with IS&T.
        
        emmabat: SIPB Rush is sooner than you think. If you want to help with SIPB Rush, please come talk to me.
        
        alvareza: I think it is too late to start cluedumps this semester, but next semester, I will try to start booting up the cluedumps at the start of next semester. Let me know if you have something you want to teach people about.
        

Project Reports:

        npfoss: Courseroad continues to be live, keep telling us about the bugs, but not through MIT confessions.
        
        mcyoung: You don't have a scraper that checks MIT confessions for things that might be bug reports.
        

Other:

        cela: The ISS had 2 of it's power channels fail earlier.
        
        mwnguyen: docker hub was hacked.
        
Other Other:

        mcyoung: I found a bug in clang, I crashed it with a really really weird template, its fixed now.
        
        cela: finals are sooner than you think.
        
        mcyoung: congratudolences.
        
        emmabat: There was a hack on the dome.
        
        npfoss: I think the hack inspired the movie.
        
        cela: to quote my email, "squirrel in trash compactor"
