Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 14 June 1982 The meeting was called to order at 19:30 EDT by Richard Kovalcik, Jr. In attendance were CBF, JIS, RK, GMP, WMY, J9, ZRM, RLL, ED, naha, Steve. Late were: noone. The minutes of the meeting of 07 June 1982 were read and accepted as corrected. Treasurer's Report: YTD spending is $110 283.84. We will probably end up about $2 000 over our budget. Chairman's Report: WMY went on a honeymoon. He received preferential treatment at the hotel, at no extra charge. We received a post card from WER. Office Report: The Elite Prestige 12 B type wheel does not print correctly. The Office Game should be played soon. Computer Services: MR10.0 will be released soon. Telecommunications Report: Nothing has happened with the Student Center line. Nothing has happened with the microwave link. The East Campus terminal and VADIC are here in the office. The McCormick VADIC is also here. The New House VADIC was checked out by RK and barmar. Indeed it does not work; however the key to the modem box is in California. CBF checked out all the <$1 000 terminals at the NCC. One of the few acceptable ones was by Liberty at $400 (until 15 July). Publications Report: EMACS addenda are still here. GMP will get FORTRAN addenda. The Freshman Letter has been picked up and must be submitted to the UASO by 1 July. Form B1's must be redone. Annual-Report Report: WER still hasn't done anything. R/O Report: Somebody should make sure that we have the space we requested at the Activities Midway. Other: Unofficially, IPS is not getting Building 12. IPS is now looking at Building 11. We have to make sure that we get a large enough space for ourselves. We received a letter from a StuFac member in response to our 6.030 letter. Applications: JIS got a phone call from Cliff Truesdell of UROP for money for Margaret Schmitt. JIS advised him to requisition $50 to IPS and then have her apply after 1 July under our new budget.
