TREASURER'S REPORT Our spending: month-to-date: $17,400 year-to-date: ~128,000 last week: spba/spb: (this is %) CHAIRMAN'S REPORT He left. OFFICE REPORT Massive loft flame approaches. Ramin wants to entertain a motion to limit discussion in view of this being finals week. J9 (and CAH) want to make sure that the loft at least gets stored in building 11. Naha says that the Concourse will gladly take the loft if we don't want it. WCS says his user friends think the loft is unprofessional and makes them not want to be here. CBF points out that we have more people through here than other organizations, so we have to be more wary of user impression. JIS says that since our new office has real ventilation windows, we won't have the ventilation problems we have here, so the office won't reek of dead people. "Loft's don't smell, people smell" WMY says that the loft is a convenient excuse to blame the SIPB's problems on. He points out that doing things like cleaning off the desks and chairs would help a lot more. Barry moves to set up the loft in the new office if it fits. If it doesn't store it. We will make an attempt to fit it in the arrangement is. Ramin would like this motion open to the associate members as well, therefore the vote will be as a poll of the board. Motion passes 10-5-2. The vote is closer if only active full members are counted. HDT walks in at this point. At this point RDZ and many others leave. This is probably not related to HDT's arrival. WMY starts chairing. MOVE: Start packing as soon as possible. Get boxes from Bob Davine. COMPUTER SERVICES Multics is working. The ARPAnet works, though very slowly. The new Multics has completely wrong tuning parameters. No Chaos and no IMFT yet. There are some bugs in the add_student software. TELECOMMUNICATIONS REPORT CAH has been chasing down our new office phone lines. TERMINAL REPORT There is a DecWriter in the office, is doesn't belong here. The board would like to instruct the terminal chairman to ask TX if they still want it; and if not, to find the next group that wants it. It should be given to someone as soon as possible. Are printing terminal's worthwhile any more? Should we survey people? Should we sell them? This is a topic for more populated meetings. PUBLICATIONS REPORT We ran out of Form B's. There are some green forms with purple stripes. We have new ones.
