Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of February 10, 1986


	The meeting was called to order at 7:32 by RF.	
	
	In attendance were

          Election Report

We start off with the chairman.  To be an officer, you have to have been a
member for a least a term.  Stan is nominated.  He refuses.  Ken Raeburn is
nominated and accepts.  Ten people are nominated and refuse.  Ken wins handily.
Now we do the vice-chairman.  Stan is nominated and accepts.  theschun and
jtkohl are nominated and accept.  Peter is nominated and accepts.  simson is
nominated and accepts.  Stan wins.  
Now we do the treasurer.  Tim is nominated and accepts.  Tim wins handily.
Next is the secretary's election.  Meilin is nominated and accepts.
WHBH is nominated and accepts.  Peter is nominated and accepts.  theschun is
nominated and accepts.  Meilin wins.
the secretary is now a lame duck. the saFety of the minutes cannot be
gauaranteed at this point
now we do EC elections  Those eligible are: carla, opus, jtkohl, chariot, 
cthulhu, wesommer, george xixis, whbh, simsong, pww, rdz
The winners are: carla, jtkohl, wesommer, theschun, and pww.

	Chairman's Report:

Neither chairman is asleep.  The previous chairman is about to fall asleep.
[JIS drops in.]  The previous chairman spent a long time last week
getting the Laserwriter.  PLJ, SRZ, and RF got it working.  It is not for text
usage.  We can't do accounting for it, but that's okay.

	Office Report:

More Coke has been ordered.  The Laserwriter is here.

	Athena Report:

LN03's still don't work.  Perhaps they should be replaced with Laserwriters.
The modems should be there by now.  

	Computer Services:

We got a Laserwriter.

	Telecommunications Report:

We got a Laserwriter.

	Publications Report:

The Laserwriter is not a publication.

	R/O Report:

Hopefully, the Laserwriter will be here for R/O week.

	IAP Report:

If things go right, the Laserwriter will be here for next IAP.

T-shirts came in.  People's measurements are near the sample resume.
