Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 8604.07


	The meeting was called to order at 1940.02 by spook.
	
	In attendance were

	Treasurer's Report:

He is not here.  He left a message saying that he has the Fin Board budget
request form and would like to talk to the EC about filling it out.

      Student Spending:  Month-to-date:  $   1,769.87
                         Year-to-date:   $  37,349.07

      SIPB/SIPBADMIN Spending:    MTD:   $     950.82
                                  YTD:   $  32,132.71


	Chairman's Report:

He talked to Beth and tried to present idea of sipb olc.  She is actually
quite agreeable.  On the other hand, some consultants might not be pleased.  A
long distance call comes for RF.  He insists that the whole office be quiet
while he talks.  (Oracle)

JCF:  someone should talk to Jim Bruce.

	Office Report:

Irene tidied up the office.  Hurray for her!  More soda came.

	Athena Report:

Database: No one knows who to talk to about getting people onto the database.
There should not be any problem just adding a name.  Discussion about how to
implement this.   

	Computer Services:

Re: Laserwriter.  It's been a while, shouldn't we announce it?  On the other
hand, strange errors seem to be randomly inserted into text at random times.
We do have 100 "Using the SIPB Laserwriter" pages.  Henry has already
convinced the person who has the 258-SIPB number to let us have it.  He does
not wish to track down and call the rest of the necessary people.

	Publications Report:

W20 needs more 9700 documentation.

	Other:

Chairman will eat 3,120 peking raviolis this year.

Media Lab will have some sort of catering service in its basement open to the
public.  It will be open from about 8am - 3pm.  Ask Henry for more info.
