Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 04/07/86


	The meeting was called to order at 1938.0 by spook.
	
	In attendance were

	Treasurer's Report:

	Treasurer is playing hooky.

	Chairman's Report:

	Nothing new.  Chair has not talked to J. Bruce.

	Office Report:

	Still here.

	Athena Report:

	Still here.  ln01's are having problems.  Ken brought up the fact
that Charon is not following Athena updates; include file problems, etc.

	Computer Services:

	Discussion about ESG people asking for Charon accounts.  Simson is
explaining what they need.  Simson is advising them that they get Borax
accounts.

	Some hacker discussion about RFS file systems, and security at the
media lab.

	Telecommunications Report:

	Athena included our modems as part of their "improvements." Once
again Athena is taking credit for something the SIPB has done.

	Publications Report:

	We need 9700 documentation.  We need more laserwriter stuff too.

	R/O Report:

	Budgeting for R/O has begun.

	IAP Report:

	Same for IAP.

	Other:

	Somebody (whose name we won't reveal) talked about naked ladies in
the office.

	Other Other:

	SIPB has just declared war on Libya.  Preparations being made now.
	Bombing begins in 5 minutes.  We'll drop LN01's.

	Community Information Services is great!
