Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 86.04.28


	The meeting was called to order at 1934.5 by spook.
	
	In attendance were 
		Voting members: wesommer, holtzman, spook, akonishi, pww,
amy, irene, srz, mer, bcn

	Treasurer's Report:

He has another volley ball game.

      Student Spending:  Month-to-date:  $ 5,851.57
                         Year-to-date:   $41,430.79

      SIPB/SIPBADMIN Spending:    MTD:   $ 2,654.78
                                  YTD:   $33,836.67

	Chairman's Report:

He asks if anyone would be interested in consulting olc style for Athena.  The
chairman is worried that there are very few new possible people for olc.
People bring up the fact that it is a very long hassle to become a consultant.
There seems to be a large number of forms and unneccessarily basic questions.

	Office Report:

Very far from default.  It is cleaner and neater, thanks to Irene.  The
laserwriter works and has been announced.

	Athena Report:

	Computer Services:

We got the I/O boards replaced on the SIPB lw and now it works.  On the other
hand, the page counter was reset to zero.

	Telecommunications Report:

Chair got to talk to Leo the Ryan again today.

	Publications Report:

There are some more 9700 and laserwriter one-page guides in w20.

	R/O Report:

Stan is now the SIPB R/O coordinator.  He will be coordinating vice and R/O.
He will fill out the forms and do other R/O related things.  BTW, his fortune
cookie at Mary's today said, "You will put in charge of important things".

	IAP Report:

Cliff will not be teaching a course.  He will be being rained on in Seattle.

	Other:

It has been brought to the secretary's attention that Irene Kim,
often previously listed as an associate member in the minutes, is actually a
full member.  Also, in case no one noticed, all the associate members listed
as attending the previous meeting were, in fact, full voting members.
