Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 8609.15


	The meeting was called to order at 19:33 by sp'uh (spook).

	Treasurer's Report:

He has a viral infection.  SIPB has lots of money and there is nothing to
worry about.  Hopefully he will be feeling better soon.

	Office Report:

Crowded.  Carla has worn a Skirt Type Unit for every single day of this school
year.  Fin Board said they don't fund capital improvements.  They said look
around for offices that are renovating and don't want their old chairs.  Don't
leave soda cans lying around the office.  There is a pile of paper laying
around.  If no one takes it, it will be thrown out.

	Athena Report:

We will be getting the workstations in the beginning of October.
WS2 RC - microvax 3meg mem, 70 meg hard drive, RFS.  IBM RT PC (desktop
model).  We should probably think of four related names for these beasties.
Mail will go out for a request for themes.  Next week, decide on themes.  Week
after, vote on names.  wesommer will compile this list.

Spinwriter leaves as soon as Mr. Greek12 stops using it.

Mac is broken!

There are 16 modems set up.  8 modems (258-7227) are SIPB's and anyone can use
them.

We need more NETS and SIPB Policy.  The Inessential Guide should be walked
over to w20.  Mike Franklin is the person to talk to.

We don't have our modems or our vt100 back yet.

Howard Trachtman's wallet in the SCC Coffee House.  Also, his box is here.
Also the $40 check for his COOP account bounced, after the money was spent.

A freshman was found in the workstation cluster, he said a SIPB member told
him to use it.  Jackie Stewart was annoyed, she wants them to be used for
courses only.

	Other Other:

henry's RT's monitor died.  Second major failure in six months.  The other
failure was his hard drive.

holtzman went to Cal because wcs said it would be sunny.  It wasn't and he
wants his money back.

ambar wants to know why Mike Parker has been wearing tape on his nose during
the meeting.

	The meeting was adjourned at 20:25.
