Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 8610.13

	The meeting was called to order at 19:40 by spook.

	Office Report:

default.  wait, what happened to air con?  there have been times when warm air
have come out of the air-conditioners.  its cool now.  we also need more power
- leo ryan as quoted by wesommer.

	Athena Report:

It's being saturated with mail now, because for a while, the athena database
was reverted to an older version.  This was a temporary big lose, but at least
it was fixed before the long weekend was over.  Tim talked to Brian Moser.
Brian hasn't talked to the UA about it yet but he will bring it up next week
at their meeting.

Chaos is working fine.  If we make our return address charon chaos then we
have to propagate it.  

We are having problems putting tcsh on /bin (for the workstations).

	Computer Services:

Maybe CCC wants the PDD-11.  Holtzman wants the spinwriter. We will notify Mr.
Greek_12 that the spinwriter will be here, guaranteed, for another week only
and two weeks after that, he will lose use of the laser-writer.

	Telecommunications Report:

Chun and Henry and Peter aren't here.  We should get next door to fix the jet
whine sound of the IBM PC.

None of our documentations are in w20.

srz is going to attempt to come up with a course description and wesommer will
start looking to a room.

Is there anyone who want to work up an xtrek or hack, etc, etc, etc
tournament?  

	Other:

Amendment has been written up by hyland to change election date.  Also, one to
change when the EC elections become valid.  ie, make the elections valid by
default after 14 days.  The wording is being worked on.

Does anyone have source for an IBM PC terminal emulator?  simsong wants it.

There is a new list of members posted, if your name is underlined, you
should check your address.  (People may want to check their addresses
anyway.)

Ken coudn't eat as much at Mary's as Jean thought he could.

Test of amendment:

A.1  Election Date and Period of Term

Section 1. Elections shall be held annually at the sencond meeting of the
first month of th Spring term, at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
the Election date may be postpondes by a majority decision of the Executive
Committee or by a a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the general active full
membership, acting together, the latter to override the former.

Section 2.  Membership in the Executive Committee shall be effective from the
time of approval and verification of the Election by a majority of the
reigning Executive committee and will terminate upon the Executive Committee's
approval and verification of the next annual Election.  The Executive
Committee has a period of 14 days to approve and verify the election or to
call for a new elections by a majority vote, otherwise the election will be
considered valid.
