Minutes of the SIPB Meeting of 10/31/88


	The meeting was called to order at 7:40pm by srz.
	
	In attendance were

	Treasurer's Report:

	renewed Byte subscription
	more latex guides and one page something or another

	CokeComm Report:

	C* in office (no grape juice)

	Chairman's Report:

	book bag got STOLEN at Mary's (including absentee ballot and
            checkbook)

	Athena Report:

	NeXT machine discussed at sysdev......

	(we're doing A/UX work?)

	mumble room for both NeXT machines and MAC's could be hard to
                  find...

	Computer Services:

	Person interested in building 386 based workstation.  Athena told
him they were full and didn't want to mess with it.  Does anyone here want
to deal with it?
	Marc might be.  amgreene? 
	
	srz is meeting with person at 1pm tomorrow.



	Please GC anything you don't need from Mac.  It is rapidly filling
          up.

	switchover occurred with fireworks et. al.

	Crash course in C?  perhaps -- ametha running -- jik and raeburn
 	    volunteer to help bail him out.  (6 2hr. sessions?)

	SIPB was the only student organization mentioned at Project MAC
celebration (when Robert Frankston won an award for Visicalc)....

	Nancy and Mark have been going out for 3yrs. as of today.
