The meeting was called to order at 19:30:00 by gisele.

Chairman's Report:

 zacheiss: Move to nominate arolfe for membership.  He updated iLaTeX
           so that it now documents LaTeX 2e; he took over maintaining
           LyX for me in outland and installed a new version.  He
           spent a lot of time in the office over the summer and
           during this term and has been really helpful answering user
           questions.  He fixed the broken m4 macros in the office
           head labels so they print again.

 gisele: There will be a membership election next week.

Office Report:

 zacheiss: 3 new chairs arrived today

 jhawk: A sun 4/330 arrived last week.  Which is better?

 gisele: It could use it.

MIT Computing Report:

 zacheiss: 8.3.19 goes into the Athena cell tonight.

 yandros: Athena Feedback Forum tomorrow, 7pm, 6-120.

 tibbetts: Deadline for IAP guide is one week from
	today.  Xela is on the wrong coast; I am
	sub-IAP-bitch.  Contact me if you have questions, requests,
        etc.

 gisele: I would suggest that there are classes such as ``What you
           should/need to know about Athena even if you love your
           Windows box.'' that might be useful to teach even for
           people who don't want to learn about tcl/Tk.

CokeComm Report:

 yandros: We have coke.

 jweiss: We should take down cans and bottles.
