The meeting was called to order at 17:30:10 by tibbetts.

Treasurer's Report:  
	tibbetts: No treasurer here

Chairman's Report:  
	tibbetts: We have many old chairmen here.  
		alien's election rescheduled for a later week - mail
		will happen

Office Report: 
	jhawk: we now have vise-grips (3) - 6LN, 7R, 10WR

	hartmans: OCR software has been acquired.  It has
		issues - we're deciding whether or not to buy it
	jweiss: New multics exists.  Cutover later this week.
		Laptop drops inventoried, we have fewer than we
		used to.  Non-laptops are using them.

	tibbetts: Move for $200 for a P-touch labelmaker.
		(many seconds, including jweiss, cana)	
	golem: We could label cords.
	marc: Consumable costs?
	tibbetts: We won't notice
	jweiss: Except maybe at first.  We can afford it.

	ingolia: I've produced documentation for the DNS server on
		thornhump so other people can use it.  Docs at

MIT Computing Report:
	cfox: prill renumbered
	
	cana: New sshd on test.dialup that does fancy kerberos stuff.
		Test it!

		Hiring meeting Tuesday 5pm, e53-220 (an electronic classroom)
	
	cfox: W20 machine room alarm system is now operational on prox
		card system.  Do not use the keypad to disarm the
		alarm, it doesn't work that way anymore.  
	jweiss: If someone new needs a card, someone else who is on
		that same maintainers group should talk to me, I will
		interface with I/S.
	arolfe: Is there a list?
	jweiss: Exists online
	tibbetts: I'll send it to sipb-office
	
Computer Services:
	hartmans: CMU was annoyed that our AFS cell was slow - unclear
		what's happening
	marc: We have giant piles of server budget.  People should
		think of expensive things to buy.  
	jweiss: I want a plan by mid-March

	tibbetts: RAM for steve-dallas is here.  I'm looking for
		someone to install an Athena 8.4 machine on it.  I
		need someone who has good installer karma to do it.

	jweiss: Will send mail, but we need to clean the machine room
	tibbetts: Are we getting racks?
	jweiss: Maybe yes

	tibbetts:  Yes.  I think.

Publications Report:
	belmonte: NetNews is low.  
	tibbetts: We only ever have one copy.
	belmonte: Someone might need scrap paper.

	alien: A lecture series next year would be cool.  Plan early.  
	People should let me know if they have ideas.

	tibbetts: He's getting back in town soon.

Other:
	eisenbud: New mozilla builds in the mozilla locker.  Tell me
		if they suck.
	hartmans: Kerberos people here last week.  It was hosing, but
		we got lots done.

Other Other:
	fyfer: Some bastards stole my computer.  If you see them, beat
		them up.
	tibbetts: I'm cooler than marc.  I have my debian account.
		Also, aletta is leaving soon for a long time.
