Tour 1: Media-lab, AI/Leg labs, e40 Tour 2: AI/Leg labs, e40, Media-lab Tour 3: e40, Media-lab, AI/Leg labs ******* Media-lab: ( Hope that your groups are about 15 people max, as Brad and Thad say they can't easily handle more than that at a time... ) ALIVE demo: Brad Rhodes & Jenn Healy 3rd floor, take a left through the double dours, then go right and ALIVE is to the left of the copy machine in E15-368. You'll need the elevator combo, it will be on a separate piece of paper. Holography Demo: Mike Halle, e15-423? Again, you'll need the elevator combo to get there... Wearable Computing: Thad Starner Meet at the red couch area in E15-383. Aim to take 45 minutes at these 3 stops, or at most an hour. All the demos have been told 10-15 minutes is the ideal time. ***** NE43/AI Lab: Leg Lab: Abbe, ne43-006 I'm going to do a video and briefly point out the robots you can see in the lab. Come in through the parking lot side, and go down the stairs to the left of the security desk, and the Leg Lab is right around the corner. Since the next stop requires an ne43 key to get to, I'll escort the group up to the 9th floor and lket them in. WAM: Jesse Hong, 9th floor ne43 (right next to the shop) (the WAM is a robot arm with a vision system that can catch & throw balls and do other neato stuff.) ****** e40: Janet Daly, 358F You'll find Janet Daly in the Visitors Center. If you can't get in the building, her number is x3-0194. (I think you all have keys?) You should be able to take everyone as one big group (up to 32 people). She'll show them around. ******* other notes: If you have a lot of time leftover for some reason, you might want to take the group and show them the SIPB office as a space filler. Try to meet in 6-120 between 9:30 and 10pm. Talk will start whenever everyone gets there. You can all get free food too. Thank the people giving the demos. Entertain the frosh when going from location to location. Have fun!
