Hmm, i don't read any newsgroup regularly enough to notice this, 
but you might want to watch out for a problem like this.
if you notice anything report it either with M-x gnus-bug 
or by sending mail to the discussion list ding@ifi.uio.no

as a side question, i got this mailing list, but I'm not really sure what to
do with it.  I've subscribed it to the low-traffic announcements only ding
list, except that there are a lot of announcements of new versions of ding, so
maybe that's not a good idea.  I would like to be able to reach people who are
using either the September Gnus or the (ding) Gnus installation so if people
would be more interested in subscribing if it didn't get ding announcements 
that would be better.  I'm not even sure what people want to know from me,
should i announce each time i upgrade the version? announce beforehand? 
Only send mail when i do something strange, like revert a version?
Maybe this list just isn't useful, i don't know; send me suggestions

I've lately had a nagging feeling of having articles disappear on me.
I'll be reading a followup to some article, and find I can't really
remember reading the original article.

So I've started to suspect that Gnus is marking unread articles as
read. 

This is only a vague suspicion, because I have been totally unable to
provoke Gnus into doing anything bad while I'm watching.  It seems to
be waiting for me to look the other way, and then it starts doing odd
things...  Spooky!

Has anybody else noticed anything in this area?  Or is it just me? 

(And is "anybody" singular or plural?)
