Acrobat Reader allows the user to view, navigate, print, and present any Portable Document Format (PDF) file. This file contains installation instructions and product information for the Acrobat Reader program. The On-line Guide (Acrobat Reader Help) also provides essential information about Acrobat Reader 2.0. All text files on this disc are provided in both ASCII format and Acrobat PDF. All references to file names in the documentation apply to ASCII .TXT files. The \DOCU_PDF directory contains matching text files with .PDF extensions. *************************************************************************** INSTALLATION OF ADOBE ACROBAT READER This disc contains a copy of Acrobat Reader for Windows that can be used to view and print .PDF files. The ACROREAD.EXE file self-installs in Windows when executed. This reader is operational only in a Windows environment. System Requirements 386 or 486 personal computer (486 recommended) Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater 4 Mb application RAM 4 Mb hard disk space 1.44 Mb 3.5" floppy disk drive Acrobat Reader has been tested and is compatible with Windows versions 3.1 and 3.11 Installing Acrobat Reader Installation requires approximately 2 Mb of free hard disk space. To install Acrobat Reader 2.0 on your hard drive, from the Windows Program Manager, choose RUN from the File menu and type [drive]:\ACROREAD.EXE Follow the instructions on your screen. Installation will take a few minutes, after which a group item will be created with Adobe Acrobat Reader. *************************************************************************** ACCESSING THE PDF MENU FILE The MENU.PDF file is functionally identical to the DOS-based GSMENU system also installed on this disc and contains a page by page duplication of the menus provided by its DOS counterpart. After starting Acrobat Reader 2.0 from Windows, open the file [drive]:\MENU.PDF. To move from one menu item to the next, click on the item with the mouse. To return to a previous menu page, click on the return button at the top of the screen. This is the button with a single arrow pointing to the left.
