This work is currently rather fragmented, and will remain in that
state until most of the sections have been written, so that revision
combining those sections can be done intelligently.  Substantial
revision to occur at that time should address the problems with
unnecessarily duplicated information and lack of structure, and make
the guide easier to follow and more succinct.

However, the section on device drivers should be helpful to some.
Other sections are mostly a little out of date and in need of revision
anyway.  Please bear with me, or better yet, help.}
