Alright, you have our permission tp use the "maemo" term as you have
described. The rationale is that it is always going next to MIT and in
the content you explicitly estate that this is a MIT project about
maemo, not an official maemo or Nokia project.

Having the MIT name around is somehow a guarantee for us that you will
not make a misuse of the site, which is one of our main concerns when
someone has "maemo" in a URL.
