According to jtkohl@mit.edu, there is an algorithm for figuring out the
codes for phones in the lobbies of MIT buildings:
---------------------------------------------------------
the algorithm is (or was, before 5ESS--maybe it still holds?) something like
this:
x3-1200 + building number = first lobby phone.
add 10 for next phone, unless already taken by some other lobby.

so x3-1207 is lobby 7, etc.

(I'm not sure about the 1200 as the base, but fairly sure about the addition)

campus ISDN phone tricks...
dial 700-7000 to get athena
(this next bit courtesy of zeno@mit.edu)
700x000  is for the outgoing modems, where x is in {1,2,3,4}
depending on the class of phone service you have. (1 and 2
or off-campus) Then at the colon prompt, you feed it just the
number you're dialing, e.g. 95760872 for an offcampus one.

  191 + account# + 1 areacode number     (N. America)
  192 + account# + 011 etc.              (other places)
