Previous: Reading other messages Up: Commands for reading your mail
Mh-rmail works on a ``batch'' principle for alterations to the state of a folder; you do a number of commands in the folder buffer to mark messages for deletion or refiling in other folders, and then you type the x command to actually process the commands.
d marks a message for deletion, and (caret) marks it for refiling (you will be prompted for the name of a folder to refile it in). ! refiles the current message in the same folder as the last refile. u undoes any action which was marked for the line.
To actually execute all of the commands, use the x command. You should do this before exiting Emacs, as marked deletions don't actually occur until you do the x.
