The command zwrite is used to send a message to another user (or group of users). Let's say that you want to ask your friend, whose username is friend, if she's taking 6.001 this term. You type
% zwrite friendZephyr will check to see if friend is logged in anyplace. If it can't find her, you'll get the response
friend: Not logged in or not subscribing to messagesIf she is available, though, you will be able to send her your message. When the message is sent you will get the message:
friend: Message sent
