For the past eight years, scores of "new" composers from all over the world have tried and succeeded. Amateurs, as well as professional composers, are invited to try their hand at composing for this prestigious annual competition. Selected entrants will have their compositions performed by the 110-voice Amadeus Choir of Greater Toronto at the acclaimed Ford Centre of the Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada on December 3, 1995. Four individual categories: adult (professional composer), adult, youth, and child. Three group categories: 2 or more people (professional composer/lyricist team), 2 or more people (never published), and school class. Entries may be written for unison singing or harmony, with or without accompaniment. Cash prizes for category winners. Submission deadline: September 22, 1995.
