Readme for this release of the AtPlotter widgets, designamed
"plotter-gnb-alpha1".

This is a very, very preliminary release of a version of the AtPlotter
widgets that I have hacked on extensively.  The base source was the V4
release from laura-palmer.mit.edu:/pub/AtthenaTools/Plotter.v4.tar.Z
as at early April 1991.

This version is for comments from the bug-at list only; it should not
be used for serious development (as things may change);  it should
have a lifetime that expires about June 30, 1991.

Most of the code is pretty much as the original (all the fontfamily &
text code is unchanged except for a change of copyright, I think).
Some of it is seriously hacked versions of the original (Plot*,
Plotter* and Axis*) which would be unrecognisable except for the names
on the files (although the algorithms in a lot of the code have been
maintained). All of this maintains the MIT copyright.

The lineplot stuff and the new test program is new and original by me.

The file redraw-protocol describes the interactions between the
elements of the plot package (as well as indicating new areas of
work),  and the CHANGED file is a copy of a letter I sent to
bug-at@athena.mit.edu describing what I changed and why I did it.

Please address all comments to the bug-at@athena.mit.edu mailing list,
or to me personally.  I welcome all queries, suggestions, bug fixes,
new code etc.
