Hmm... well, the most obvious reason is that I don't know Python. :) What it all boils down to is, I use Windoze pretty much exclusively, since my Linux box gave up the ghost quite a while back, and it's easiest for me to develop in something that I'm already set up for. Besides, the actual GUI portion is (so far) pretty simple; porting it to C won't be difficult at all, and that's the intended goal.
