The human race is trying to fight a war they're doomed to lose. You've
heard stories of the world of the Ancient Demons. The terrors you
face are too horrible to imagine, and the fabric of spacetime won't
hold forever. It's only a matter of time before their dimension will
come crashing into yours.

There are those among you who believe that fighting will only doom
your species further. The Ancients {\em will} visit Earth, and if
they encounter resistance, they will destroy it. So you will be the
first to welcome them with open arms. You are the \bCthulht{}, and
you will be spared.

Your leader is \cFrosh{}, a Paranormal Researcher in the Laundry.
\cFrosh{\They} was a normal guy until about a month ago, when one of
the demons who leaked through a gate managed to possess
\cFrosh{\them}. The possession granted \cFrosh{\them} unnatural
powers and knowledge of the Elder Gods. \cFrosh{\They} sought out
those of you who loyally admitted inferiority to the race of Elders
and told you of a ritual that would appease them.

The ritual is complex and has not been fully researched. You know the
steps for {\em a} ritual, and you know that this ritual needs to be
performed before the final ritual, but you don't know if it's the only
preparation necessary.

The result of the ritual is unclear, but \cFrosh{} has promised you
that it will grant protection to those involved. The \bCthulht{} will
be favored among humans when your new masters arrive.

Spacetime has been particularly unstable recently, so you must act
quickly. Otherwise, the Elders might arrive before you can prove your
loyalty. Your dedication to the cause is absolute. You will keep the
\bCthulht{} a secret. And when the great rift is finally torn between
your worlds, you will be ready.

\begin{itemz}[Goals]
\item Complete research on the final ritual.
  \item Perform the ritual.
\item Keep the existence of the \bCthulht{} a secret from the rest
of the world, especially the \bLaundry{}.
