In this project, I designed and implemented an application, named RVadd,
which demonstrates the addition of independent random variables and how
convolution can be used for this purpose.  My work is based on a previous
application written using the Courseware Development System, by John
Piscitello.  RVadd was written using cT version 2.2, an authoring system
designed at Carnegie Mellon University, and runs on X11 Windows,
Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh environments.  The primary use
of the application will be as an in-class demonstration for Professor
Alvin Drake's course, {\em Probabilistic Systems Analysis} (6.041), so
much emphasis was placed on the user interface.
