Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament

The Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT) is an annual math competition for about 650 high school students from around the country, run entirely by MIT and Harvard students. The location alternates between MIT and Harvard; this year it will take place at MIT on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

Most of our work in the fall term consists of writing problems and test-solving. There are 6 individual tests (Algebra, Geometry, Combinatorics, Calculus, and two General tests for less experienced students) and two team rounds, so we need lots of people to help. In January and February we need volunteers to help with logistics, and on the day of the contest we need a lot of people to proctor and grade exams.

If you're interested in helping with the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, you can learn more about how to join. You don't need prior experience with math contests to help.
