A is for:
Athletic - we participate in IM sports such as ice-hockey, volleyball, and tennis.
Individuals have played MIT varsity sports in the past.
Pick-up games of basketball, hall-ball (this involves a crazy no-fear attitude and a soccer ball in an enclosed area), and group visits to the weight room are common.
We also have ROTC residents.
Academic - a variety of academic interests are represented within the entry.
A sampling of the majors: 6, 15, 16, 7, 8, 9, and 14.
Several of the academic organizations on campus have key members in the entry.
For example:
- MURJ (MIT's Undergraduate Research Journal) was founded by an A-entry member and several other A-entry residents are contributors.
- MIT Debate Team's president for the spring term 2001 is an A-entry resident.
- The founder of MIT411.com (a popular campus resource) lives in our entry.
Artistic - Outside of academia, residents possess vocal talent, instrumental ability, dance (traditional Indian and modern hip-hop), photography, and design skills.
A sampling of some clubs that a-entry people participate in:
Technique (yearbook), MITSO (Symphony Orchestra), Dance Troupe, and the Chorallaries.
Active - we all get along real well and hang out in the suites.
In addition to occasional study-breaks with food and fun, we make a point of going out to dinner (Vinny's, John Harvard's, Papparazi's) in Boston at least once a semester.
'A' can be for many things, but we can't possibly write it all down.
We're nice people with eclectic interests and hope you drop by for a visit.
