Seminar Room
MacGregor House features many facilities for the benefit of our residents. The first of which is the seminar room. This room is reservable at desk and can be used for group study sessions and meetings.Bike Racks
There are indoor and outdoor bike racks located throughout MacGregor for residents to lock their bikes against.
Elevators
For residents living in the high-rise part of MacGregor (entries A-E), there are elevators that can go all the way to the top of the 16-story tower.
Courtyard
The low-rise part of MacGregor (entries F-J) surrounds a beautiful courtyard, where residents can go out to sit or play a game of volleyball. We also host parties and outdoor movies in the courtyard.
Barbeque Pits
MacGregor has a large barbeque pit area that can be reserved for group barbeques and events. When the weather's great, there's no reason not to cook outside! You will find our newly refurbished BBQ pits in constant use throughout the spring term and late summer.
Tastefully Furnished Lounge
The Tastefully Furnished Lounge (TFL) is used for all kinds of gatherings. House parties and study breaks are held here.
Basketball Court
MacGregor even has its own basketball court. It is located in the sub-basement and the key to it can be checked out from desk.
Laundry Room
Laundry facilities are also provided for MacGregor residents. MIT ID card readers have been installed as well to eliminate the need for quarters.
Weight Room
MacGregor has an extensive weight room facility to keep our residents in shape. We have a collection of free weights, not to mention a variety of other machines such as the treadmill, elliptical trainer, exercise bike, bench press, and leg press. New equipment is regularly obtained.
Recreation Room
Need a break from studying? The recreation room offers a variety of distractions. We have pool, table tennis, foosball, and air hockey tables.Or if you just feel like watching TV, we have a large screen TV with a VCR and DVD player. For all you gamers out there, we also have Nintendo 64, Sony Playstation, and Sega Dreamcast. Games and controllers can be checked out from the front desk.
