About MacGregor
Welcome to MacGregor House of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology! MacGregor houses roughly 330 undergraduates, almost all of them in single rooms. Located on the banks of the Charles River, it offers spectacular views of neighboring Boston (see map).MacGregor offers many services and facilities, including a weight room, recreation room, music room, and many others. We even have our own in-house convenience store.
House Events
The house sponsors many social activies, including parties, study-breaks, dinners, barbeques, brunches, and outings. We also sponsor an annual semi-formal for residents.Think you have to head down to the tables of Las Vegas for a fun time? Guess again! We host our own casino night event! Though you don't actually play with real money, you can still win prizes and have a great time.
Entry Night
The house is divided into nine entries, and once every year, entries can choose to participate in Entry Night. During Entry Night, entries compete against one another with skits and talent shows.The prizes go to the entries that create the wittiest, most musical, and in general, most entertaining shows. Awards are also given to those cast members who have distinguished themselves in their performances.
