Place For Everyone There is a great deal of diversity within MacGregor. While each entry has its own distinct personality, MacGregor houses people of all races, ethnicities, sexual preferences, and personalities. We are MIT students, so most people naturally take their work very seriously, but, during those rare moments known as “spare time”, there are people here who like to play sports, to be involved in house government and other extracurricular activities, to go out partying and clubbing in the city, or to just stay in to relax with friends. Introverted or extroverted, drama queen, drag queen, or even dairy queen, teenage hacker or dancing machine, you can definitely find a place in one of our nine entries.

Government Want to get involved in student government? Want to have a say about what goes on in and around the dorm? Want to learn valuable leadership skills? Want to just learn how to plan a great party (like the clambake to the left)? The MacGregor House Committee (HouseComm) has a proud tradition of leaders who have a great deal of influence on matters of student life and housing. There is definitely a great deal of responsibility, but it can be very rewarding for those who like to dabble in student government. To see what they are doing, visit their current page. Intramural Sports If you're an avid sports fan, MacGregor has a wide variety of intramural sports teams, ranging from softball to basketball to hockey and even table tennis. We have jocks and wannabe-jocks of all sizes, shapes, and skill-levels so you can always find people of your skill level. Individual entries usually organize their own IM teams, and there are inter-entry teams as well.
