MACGREGOR - F
ENTRY
Description
FEV
is one of the few non-Greek all-male living group on campus. We are a
diverse group of people, ethnically and in terms of personality.
Activities
Parties/hangouts: F
Entry consistently throws the best Macgregor parties. None of the lame
standing-around, acting-stupid parties. These are the real stuff with your
occasional bar fight, broken glass, touchy-feely persons, and grinding on
the dance floor.
Working out: Many of us are into fitness and
not letting MIT take the better of us during our prime. Whenever we are
not socializing, studying, or sleeping, we are likely to be in the MacG
weight room, Z Center, or with various varsity sports.
Trips:
Every term we do something different. Montreal, Miami, paintball,
etc.
Study breaks: Whenever F plans a study break, we go
all out. If you love large quantities of FREE good food (like BBQs, wings
and authentic Mexican food) then you'll love F entry.
Entry Resources
- 2 TVs (1 got stolen)
- sound system
- digital cable
- DVD player
- bar
- pool table
- X box
- study lounge
- portable wet vacuum cleaner
- floor punching bag
- whatever the residents have (cars, big screen TV's, cookware,
hookups here and there...)
Academics
Our entry GPA is about 4.45/5.0 with a few 5.0's. The only reason
this is posted is to defeat the misconception that to have a good academic
experience at MIT you have to give up your social life. A majority of our
residents do course 6. Course 15ers I think are second. Then we have a
people doing everything from course 8, 16, and 18 to 14, 7, and 2.
Special Bonus
F entry is unique in that
we have the only two nonstandard-sized singles in all of Macgregor. Ask to
see F323 or F423 when you are visiting. Only F entry seniors get a chance
at luxury for the same Macgregor-single rate.

F ENTRY is NOT for people
who:
- are looking for a "big happy family" to belong to.
- are intolerant of diversity.
- get easily offended by typical guy behavior
- think they are not gonna get laid if they live in F entry (i.e.
can't get laid anyway)
- have issues with other people's drinking
- can't stand occasional loud music
- want a structured government for the entry (e.g. recycling chair,
soap chair, Athena chair, vacuum chair, noise level chair,
elections--we're not into that sh**)
- don't have a personality of their own
- think MIT frats are way cool
- like study breaks that consist of three bags of chips and
intellectual chit-chat
