Old Business

Parking:
     - MIT will be switching to a new system in January after
         which permits will cost $300/year.
     - The status of parking on Memorial Drive is unknown
     - Those who already have parking permits can use them until
         December
     - DormCon would like to redistribute parking permits from
those who already graduated or no longer have cars to
         those who need parking
     - Any MacGregor resident who needs parking should send e-mail
         to Adel
Raising House Taxes:
     - Proposal to raise house tax $2 will be postponed until next
         week.
Carry over of budget:
     - The money should be spent on the members of the house
during the particular term the money is allotted.
     - Motion to carry over portions of the budget fails.
In-house Rush:
     - Two main issues:
       1) Should entries have a say on who gets into their entry?
       2) How can in-house rush be more productive?
(ideas-open houses as soon as freshmen find out they got
in, then have regular in-house rush; have two nights for
          rush)
     - Would like to come up with an outline for next term
     - Entry chairs should go to their entries and get feedback on
         in-house rush
Proposal to allot more of the tax money to entries:
     - Entry chairs should go back to their entries and get
         feedback on this

New Business
D-entry Tutor Joe Warren:
     - Was in a rugby accident and is currently in the hospital
     - HouseComm wishes him a speedy recovery!
Dining Hall:
     - President Vest has formed a new committee which will be
looking into resident activities and student life. They
will be looking into dining halls for dorms and
         residences.
     - This is the right time for MacGregor to decide whether it
wants to have a dining hall in the dorm.
     - Entry chairs should go to their entries and get feedback on
         this issue.
Alarmed door on 16th floor:
     - Will be making a connection to the police department so
that if it is set off, police will be alerted.
UA Reps:
     - Will be elected next week.

Issues to be discussed at next HouseComm Meeting:
     In-house Rush
Division of House taxes (entry vs. dorm debate)
     Raising House Taxes
     Dining Hall
