Old Business

D-entry Tutor Joe Warren:  Is back from the hospital
MIT shirts:
    - T-shirts (beaver w/bagpipes) have been ordered.  Shirts will         
        be $10 each.
    - Entry chairs should get people to sign up and pay for shirts
JudComm:
    - Will be going around to all the entries
    - Send e-mail to jjgray@mit.edu to let him know when entry 
        study breaks are
Dining Hall:
    - General consensus that there should not be a mandatory meal 
        plan
    - Suggestion to keep convenience store but have some hot food 
        services like pizza/pasta
    - Entry chairs should go to their entries and get more 
        feedback on this issue.
In-house Rush:  Get feedback from entries for next week's 
                   discussion.

New Business

New MIT Cards:
    - Will be activated on Thursday night
    - If there is a problem with your new card, go to desk and 
        write your name on the list
Mailing List:
    - All new MacGregor residents have been added to the spatang 
        e-mail list except B entry
    - The B-entry chair should e-mail the list of new people and 
        people who left to fenn@mit.edu
Printer:
    - Entry chairs should tell their entries that residents should 
        refrain from printing excessive amounts on the printer
    - The house must pay for the price of maintenance and paper.  
        The price of paper has gone up!
UA Reps:   Shefali (A) and Susie (C) are the new UA Reps
Recycling:  The Recycling Chair will be getting clear plastic bags 
              for recycling
Social:
    - There will be a Club Mac at 6 pm on Friday, September 29
    - Due to the budget allotted to Social this term, it won't be 
        possible to get a big band for winter weekend.  We might 
        be able to get a cover band and a quasi-big band instead.
    - Will be planning a Trick o' Treating event at MacGregor on 
        Halloween
Community Service:
    - The Links program is up and running.  Anyone still 
        interested should contact Suma (D).
    - MacGregor will be doing a Dorm Community Service Day on 
        October 21st as part of the City Year Serve-a-thon.  Entry 
        Chairs should mention this to their entries.
Athletics:
    - Sign ups are at desk for IM Ice Hockey, D&C League. Captains 
        needed for both teams.
Athletic Facilities:
    - Passed out sheet about getting backboards for basketball 
        courts.
    - Entry chairs should post sheet in their entry.
Raising House Taxes:
    - There has been no increase in house taxes for 6 or 7 years.
    - Motion to have a House Referendum over the house tax issue 
        fails.
    - Motion passes to raise house taxes $2, to a total of $100 a 
        year.
