As many of you know, the house owns a new pool table, and the video games have returned to the rec room. In this coming semester a new entertainment system will be installed in the TV room. We hope to put the new system to good use by sponsoring a movie night, providing refreshments and the opportunity to meet residents from other entries. Of course, Club Macs will continue with the occasional pizza parties.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, a fund-raising letter was mailed to MacGregor alumni. Since that time, the house has received over $1400 in donations with more hopefully on the way. Housecomm is currently looking for new projects to sponsor with this money and any suggestions would be welcomed.
Finally, we're all looking forward to Entry Night and an exciting Winter Weekend, featuring Cliffs of Dooneen and Chucklehead. Upcoming events include hockey and basketball house tournaments, as well as a spring barbecue once the snow melts.
Congratulations to the new entry chairs and house officers. Of course, all residents are encouraged to participate in house activities and are always welcome at Housecomm meetings.
