MacGregor residents who'd like to have their own copy of the completed "final version" of the Entry Night '96 videotape should contact Steve Slivan (former tutor for G Entry), who taped the performances and authored the following information:

If you want a "vanilla" copy (see below) all you need to do is get a blank tape in the format you want (VHS, S-VHS, Video 8, or Hi8), attach a note with your name, and get the tape to me! Ways to do this:

Alison has kindly set aside a mail shelf, so you can leave your labelled blank tape for me at the MacGregor front desk. When you do this be sure to also send me an e-mail (slivan@mit) so that I know to come collect your tape.
If you prefer you can bring your tape to me directly at my office in 54-326. Since I'm not always in the room I recommend that you zwrite me or phone (x3-4115) first if you plan to come over, to make sure I'm really in!

I'll make the copies in the order in which I receive the blank tapes.

Tape specifics:

format - I can copy to regular VHS, S-VHS, Video-8, and Hi8 format videotapes.
tape speed - I'll use tape speed "SP" for best duplicating quality, unless you explicitly request otherwise.
tape length - The length of the final program is 81 minutes.
tape content - Copies will contain the introduction, all 7 acts, and the judging results, because after I start a copy going I let it run unattended. To help you find specific acts on your tape I'll also give you a hardcopy time-index of the tape contents (included below). (NOTE: The last several minutes of the B Entry/"Montel" act are missing due to a brief power interruption which reset the camcorder into "pause" mode.)
It's a good idea to check your copy once you get it by playing it for a minute or so on your VCR just to make sure your sound and video are fine!

If you've any questions, or non-"vanilla" requests, send me an e-mail at slivan@mit. I also still have the past years' edited tapes, from 1994 (66 minutes) and 1995 (76 minutes), both of which will fit on one *150-minute* tape at SP speed.
