Dear MIT:

One of your Alumni, Derrick Tate Ph.D., is a colleague who referred me to
you as a potential source for dealing with this problem we have.

Would you please forward this message to the appropriate faculty member or
student who can either solve our problem or refer us to someone who can?

My hard drive crashed about 3 weeks ago, and we have been unable to restore
the file. It indicates that the file is corrupted. We have downloaded the
file onto a CD. Our computer services staff person is a senior at Colorado
University in Boulder, CO. He has had his co-students and professors
attempt to restore this file without success.

This file has the last 18 months, or more, of many documents and
correspondence that exist only on this computer. It is critical that we
recover this data. Would you please advise me if you have the capability
and technical knowledge to restore this file? If not, would you please
provide a reference to a knowledgeable and capable person or company that
can help us? We are willing to pay to have this done, because these files
are so critical to our operations. We are a very small non-profit,
tax-exempt corporation in the process of starting the first university in
China that will grant American accredited degrees.

Thank you for your highly valued assistance!

With Warmest Regards,

Lawrence A. Dolezal
