Last fall, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson blamed gays, lesbians, and feminists for the horrific attack on the World Trade Center. Yesterday (2/21) Pat Robertson called Islam a violent religion bent on world domination. If you get basic Cable TV service you are helping to pay for this zealot's intolerance. Robertson's "Christian" Broadcasting Network is included in basic cable service in most communities, so every year you are effectively sending this man quite a few of your hard-earned dollars to promote such hatred and you do so without a choice. It is unAmerican, unChristian, and undemocratic. And it is time to pull the plug. Let so-called "Christians" pay for this channel if they want it as an option. Let the rest of us alone. Today I wrote to David Grain the head of ATT Broadband (P. O. Box 196, Newark, NJ 07101) and I complained to the City of Cambridge's cable TV monitoring office.
