Subject: another kinesis failure

Hi, Ashley. One of the kineses we were having problems with before
(Model #KB133PC, Serial #36486C) has failed again. When it's plugged
into a computer, it makes a rythmic chirping sound and all its lights
flash in unison with that sound. This goes on for about 10s, then
stops. While it's flashing, sometimes typing on it sends control
characters to the computer it's connected to, e.g., typing "L" sends
Control-L, etc, sometimes it seems to send random characters of its own
accord, and sometimes no characters seem to get through to the computer
at all. Once the computer stops flashing, it seems to receive no
signals from the computer at all. Connecting the keyboard while holding
down F7 results in the same behavior. Program-Control-F10 seems to have
no effect. Do you have any suggestions as to what we should try?

Alex.
