i run slackware and i'm having trouble finding a kaffe package that is
compatible with my system. i found .rpm's for Linux and .tgz for debian
but neither will work... i used alien to install the .rpm but got a
"install dpkgdev_blah first" and the .tgz installed itself into usr/
directory but typing "./usr/bin/kaffe" didn't work. i must be missing
some kind of logic here. also, my ethernet connection is incredibly slow
at the moment and it takes 10 min.s to search around
http://kaffe.org/ftp/pub/kaffe/. i still don't want to give up. do you
have any suggestions? thanks so much.
